Much has been said about the similarities between Kadayan and Banjar and the possibility of the origin of Kadayan was from Kalimantan rather than from Jawa or Sumatera.
There are several Banjar related sites and I found the following site interesting. Check it out.

Ada yang mengatakan banjar terpisah dari komuniti brunei-kadayan sejak 450 tahun yang lalu.
Mun banaa, siapa yang terpisah dari siapa?
