Omaigod, Google Reader is to Stop Working on July 1, 2013

Yup, you heard it correct.

The best web based RSS reader provided by the giant  will be put off the shelve by July 1, 2013.

The declining demand and shrinking clientele are the reasons why the service to be retired, said Google. And so the company's workforce can focus on something else.

Okay, that is their decision. That is their choice. And I happen to be one of the avid users of Google Reader since last year. But I personally don't thing that Google needs more than 100 employees  just to oversee this service. Even if it does, 100 workers is just about 1% out of 10,000++ total workforce that Google has, and there must be other optimal options, other than closing it down, to make it barely survive and up and running.

Yo, that's the lame excuse, as lame as the excuse that being used by Yahoo when they decided to shut down geocities.com sometime ago.

Four months to go. It is time to move on to the alternative online RSS reader, but I still can't figure them out at this moment.

Any suggestion and recommendation? Please let me know.
