Pitut o... Ia juga dikenali sebagai pitut, pitutan atau kotud dalam bahasa Kadazan, tembel dalam bahasa melayu (jawa).

Seperti namanya, ia menduduki kelopak mata seseorang. Kebanyakan bengkak pitut adalah akibat jangkitan pada kelenjar Zeis di pangkal bulu mata . Ia muncul sebagai benjolan merah, bengkak yang kelihatan seperti jerawat. Selalunya ia amat sensitif untuk disentuh.

Pitut adalah disebabkan oleh bakteria daripada kulit masuk ke dalam kelenjar minyak pada bahagaian kelopak mata, sama seperti jerawat yang tumbuh di mana-mana permukaan kulit di seluruh badan. Anda mungkin mempunyai lebih daripada satu tembel pada masa yang sama.

It is also known as pitut, pitutan or kotud in kadazan language, tembel in malay (javanese).

 As the name suggests, it occupies one's eyelid (s). Most bumps as the result of is an infection of the sebaceous glands of Zeis at the base of the eyelashes (styes) . It appears as a red, swollen bump that looks like a pimple. It is often tender to the touch. A stye is caused by bacteria from the skin that get into the oil glands in the eyelids that provide lubrication to the tear film. 

Styes a lot like common acne pimples that occur elsewhere on the skin. You may have more than one stye at the same time. Styes most often develop over a few days and may drain and heal on their own.
