But there are diferences between political blogs and blogs that write on politics. For example, Malaysia-today.com, harakahdaily.net and limkitsiang.com are the political blogs.
For most of them such as asiaweek.com, bharian.com.my thestar.com.my [and here, kadayanuniverse.com], they are of websites that write on politics; they aren't necessarily political blogs. Blogging on political issues isn't taboo in Malaysia. Nor that it should be discussed only by politicians. It interests everybody.

Now, back to the “coward” claims. There are specific political coward definitions to be fair with bloggers.
If you are the government backbencher, and maintain silence over everything that happen around you, that is a real coward. You are in the position to say something, but had choosen not to. You are too afraid of losing position and source of income.
If you are the government backbencher, and you are willing to stand up, it's just a normal thing that you do. Good friend isn't necessarily be a YES man.
But if you are outside of government circle, and being vocal or make constructive criticism at the same time, that is what we called as brave. Those people in power can do many nasty things to you. Therefore, if you vocal and manage to hide yourself, then you are smart.
If you play vocal but exposing your self daringly, and you don't know where to stop like Hindraf – then you are stupid fool.
